Harpenden Family Home
Located in the sought-after St Albans area, this detached property in Harpenden is a large new-build family home. Like many new builds, the house initially felt somewhat impersonal—lacking the warmth and individuality that transforms a property into a home. Our clients, who had only just moved in, were keen to create interiors that reflected their modern aesthetic while ensuring the spaces functioned seamlessly for family life.
Working closely with the architect, we developed an extension that was essential for the family’s needs, designed to flood the main living areas with natural light and enhance the sense of openness. This architectural move created the perfect foundation for our design scheme.
At the heart of the home, we designed a stunning open-plan kitchen, fully bespoke and tailored to the family’s lifestyle. The space flows effortlessly into a beautiful dining area, where expansive views of the garden create a bright and uplifting atmosphere. To further personalise the home, we introduced custom-made joinery throughout—maximising the use of space while adding warmth, character, and a sense of permanence.
The result is a functional yet elegant family home, where clean modern lines are balanced with thoughtful details, making it both practical and deeply inviting.
